1988–5749, during a public address, the Rebbe pointed out an omission in the standard Chabad prayer book. In the paragraph recited when the Torah scroll is taken from the ark, there should be two verses beginning with the word Romemu but, decades earlier, one had been left out by a typesetter.

The Rebbe expressed surprise that such an error occurred, despite the siddur’s rigorous review, and then went unnoticed for so many years. After he requested that this correction be publicized, stickers were printed with the missing verse and inserted into existing siddurim. New editions include both verses.
