Rav Ezriel Yuda Leibowitz Av Beis Din Vien

In 1958, Rabbi Ezriel Yehuda Lebowitz (Hudhazer Rov) succeeded Rav Yonasan Steif as Rav of Kehal Adas Yereim Vien. He founded the Mesivta Nachlas Yakov, which came to be one of the foremost leading yeshivos in the United States, which consistently counted more than 150 talmidim. The yeshiva was the crown jewel of the Kehilla.

Rabbi Ezriel Yehuda Lebowitz authored: Ezer Mi'Yehuda on Chumash Bereishis, Pirkei Avos and more. After his passing on the first day of Rosh Hashana 1991, he was succeeded by the current Viener Rav, Rabbi Asher Anshel Katz.
