With the advances of technology, Torah is literally at our fingertips—available through sefarim in print and in digital form, countless shiurim online instantly and anywhere in the world, instant access to commentaries and responsa, and the ability to connect to teachers and chavrusas across the world. What once required great effort, travel, or access to rare texts, is now open to anyone with a device and the desire to learn.
In this way, the words of the Torah ring with new relevance: לא רחקה היא, the Torah is not distant. Hashem has given our generation unprecedented tools to bring His Torah closer to us than ever before. The only question is whether we will take advantage of this closeness and turn that accessibility into genuine growth in Torah and Avodas Hashem.
So, לא רחקה היא—Torah is near. Hashem has brought it to our doorstep. The next step is ours.
