We can connect this concept with the Maamor at the beginning of Likkutei Torah with the opening words: רְאוּ כִּי ה׳ נָתַן לָכֶם הַשַּׁבָּת. It is known regarding the difference between the two levels of the love of HaShem; אַהֲבַת עוֹלָם [everlasting love] and אַהֲבָה רַבָּה [Great love] that אַהֲבַת עוֹלָם [everlasting love] is a love for HaShem that comes from the worlds; in other words it is borne from contemplating the life that HaShem vitalises the worlds, and being that the world is limited so too is the love for HaShem that is borne out of contemplation [the life of the worlds], limited.

However, the love of אַהֲבָה רַבָּה [Great love] is boundless because it is not based on contemplating the vitality that HaShem gives to the limited worlds, but is a love that transcends reason and logic and comes from the essence of one’s soul.
