5728–1968, the Rebbe held a farbrengen marking seventy-five years since the celebration of the Previous Rebbe’s Bar Mitzvah in 1893. After sharing various teachings about Bar Mitzvah and explaining the Kabbalistic significance of the number seventy-five, the Rebbe said, “There is another reason to celebrate ... The Code of Jewish Law written by the Alter Rebbe has just been reprinted.”

Before the talk, the Rebbe placed one of the new books, which was not yet bound, on his table.
