We must bring to light, that even though it is applicable a language of “Titein – giving” on appointment rulership, it would be more appropriate to write “Lohem - to them”, instead of “Lechoh – to you”. Explains Rav Moshe Feinstein ZY”A, that the judges and policemen that are appointed shall be a present to you how to learn to act in Tzedek and Mishpot (righteousness and judgement) and all the proper Middos and path of Avodas Hashem Yisborach. And so, it is that it is a present from you to your very self. Therefore, it is perfect the language of “Titein Lechoh -You shall give to you”.
