Bitachon is a Segulah to Remove Tzoraas

The Way of Emunah | April 17, 2026

Rav Tzvi Elimelech of Dinov zy”a writes (in Sefer Agra D’Pirkah, Ois 164) in the name of the Rebbe Rav Zushe zy”a that one is afflicted with tzora’as as a consequence for not appreciating Hashem’s kindness. Rav Tzvi Elimelech adds that bitachon is a segulah to remove tzora’as. This is hinted to with the words “this shall be the rule of the metzorah on the day of his purification, and he will be brought to the kohen.” This can be understood to mean that the purification of a metzorah depends on him “being brought to the kohen”, i.e., coming to trust in Hashem.
