Here's my story | June 27, 2025
  • 5703-1943, the Rebbe sent a letter to the Ladies Auxiliary of Agudat Chabad of Newark, thanking them for sponsoring pamphlets containing Birchat Hamazon, the blessing after meals, which were distributed to Jewish soldiers in the US Army.
  • 5719-1959, after artist Meir Ben Uri wrote several questions to the Rebbe about the iconic design on the cover of the Talks and Tales series, as well as suggestions for alternative images that he felt would convey the desired message more clearly, the Rebbe wrote back. Analyzing the artwork in great detail, the Rebbe explained how the current design, which features the tablets above the clouds and the globe being supported by three pillars, is the best way to convey how the Torah, which is above all creations, is relevant in all places, and that Torah, serving G-d, and acts of kindness, are the three pillars which hold up the world.
