A Story

The story is told that רש"י was once walking in the street, and he saw a noblewoman riding a horse, wearing an apron.

Initially, he was bothered by the fact that he was exposed to seeing something like this. Later, when he wrote his explanation on the חומש, he was calmed, as he realized that Hashem had shown this to him so he would be able to explain what the אפוד was.
