Chodesh Kislev

Chodesh Kislev includes many auspicious dates, causing the entire month to be like Yom Tov.

The Rebbe also referred to this month as a chassidishe chodesh.

The Rebbe writes that in general, Kislev is a more successful month than the months of Marcheshvan and Teves.

In 5749, the Rebbe instructed that everyone should learn one additional concept in Chassidus during each day of Chodesh Kislev. Even better, learn a concept from the Baal Shem Tov, the Maggid, and the Alter Rebbe. If you can, learn a teaching from each of the other Rebbeim as well.

Farbrengens should be held throughout the month, especially on the dates marking chassidishe Yomim Tovim.
