Rav Yosef Dovid

(Kislev 2, 5497 / 1736 - 288th Yahrzeit)

Studied under Rav Yitzchok Aliando and Rav Binyamin Ashael, in 5462 he became a dayan and in 5488 he volunteered to serve as Rosh Bais Din in Saloniki and served as the head of the kehillah. He authored several seforim: Bais Dovid on Tur, Yamei Dovid Derushim, Yakra DeShachvi hespedim, Tzemach Dovid vol 1 and vol 2 on Chumash, Lechem haPanim on Haggadah Shel Pesach, Batei Avos on Mesechta Avos.
