Rest of the Day

On each day of Chol Hamoed, males over bar mitzvah should drink a revi’is of wine to fulfill the mitzvah of simchas Yom Tov.

When bentching, say Yaaleh Viyavo and replace magdil with migdol. (See below, “Hosafos,” for the laws that apply if you forgot to say Yaaleh Viyavo.)

Tonight’s sefirah is 3 days of the omer.

Today’s kriah (in the first Sefer Torah) is Pesal lecha (Shemos 34:1–26).

Tonight’s sefirah is 5 days of the omer.

Today’s kriah (in the first Sefer Torah) is the parshah of Pesach Sheni (Bamidbar 9:1–14).

Before Minchah, say Pasach Eliyahu (but not Hodu).

Hadlakas Neiros

Before Shabbos/Yom Tov, prepare a flame, from which the candles can be lit tomorrow night.

Since it is Friday night, the candles may not be lit after shekiah.

The berachah of Lehadlik Ner Shel Shabbos Ve’shel Yom Tov is said, but not Shehecheyanu.
