What Looks Bad is Really Good

Rav Boruch of Mezhibuzh zy”a explains the words “in Egypt before your eyes” by saying that people often think their situation is bad. They think it is like “Mitzrayim”, meaning that it is a bad time (“tzara”). However, this is all “to your eyes.” It only looks bad to you, but, in truth, it is really for your benefit.
