Rav Boruch Asheknazi The Rebbe Reb Baruch (Kislev 18, 5572 / 1811 - 212th Yahrzeit)
Rav Boruch’s father, Rav Yechiel, was the son-in-law of the Ba’al Shem Tov, who married the Ba’al Shem’s daughter, Adel. He was raised in the home of his illustrious grandfather and later by Rav Pinchos Koretzer. He studied Chassidus under Rav Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk and after his Rebbe left for Eretz Yisrael he began to conduct his own following in Tultshin. After the petira of his brother, Rav Moshe Chaim Ephraim of Sudilkov, mechaber of Degel Machaneh Efraim, he moved to Mezhibuzh. He was niftar on Chai Kislev and was laid to rest in the same ohel as his brother and grandfather. His Torah stories are collected in Botzina DiNehora.
