Rav Yoel Tzvi Roth Beis Hayotzer

Rav Yoel Tzvi was the son-in-law of Rav Yaakov Gottleib, Av Bais Din of Chust.

He was a talmid of Rav Menachem Eisenstadter in nigleh – the revealed Torah – and a talmid of Rav Chaim Halberstam, the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, in Chassidus.

He served as Rav of Boyaplo, Badzna and Chust.

He sat and studied Torah wrapped in tallis and crowned in tefillin for most of the day.

His sefer Shu”t Bais HaYotzer on all four volumes of Shulchon Aruch is considered among the most important Sifrei Shu”t of the Hungarian Rabbonim. He also published Deroshos Bais HaYotzer and Yotzer Ohr on Chanuka.
