The Eternal Lesson of Torah and Its Relevance

The Torah is eternal; טו from which it is understood that there must be also from this an eternal lesson that every Jew and Jewess can learn; טז for even a story about something which will occur in the future יז has an eternal lesson, יח for all time, that is relevant even now. יט How much more so, concerning matters that have taken place in the past, (such as in Yehudah’s approaching Yosef). And since the Torah was given to the B’nei Yisroel as a learning manual, as can be seen by the Torah’s use of expressions like “Command the B’nei Yisroel” or “Tell the B’nei Yisroel”, it is understood, - that the purpose of the Torah כ comes primarily to instruct all of the B’nei Yisroel. The lesson that the Torah is coming to teach is important and affects each and every Jew and Jewess. כא

As the Talmud states: כב “I was created in order to serve my master”. כג
