Today’s ushpizin are Moshe Rabbeinu and the Mitteler Rebbe.
Shacharis
We don’t wear tefillin during Chol Hamoed.
Insert Yaaleh Viyavo during Shemoneh Esrei.
After Shemoneh Esrei, say the complete Hallel, along with the na’anuim.
This is followed by Hoshanos. Say yesterday’s paragraph—Om ani chomah —without circling the bimah, and then continue with today’s paragraph—Adon hamoshia—circling the bimah as on Yom Tov.
Hoshanos is followed by Kaddish Shalem, Shir Shel Yom, LeDovid Hashem Ori, and krias hatorah.
Krias hatorah
One Sefer Torah is removed from the aron kodesh. We read four aliyos: for Kohen we read Uvayom hashlishi; for Levi we read Uvayom harevi’i; for the third aliyah we read Uvayom hachamishi; and for the fourth aliyah we read Uvayom hashlishi and Uvayom harevi’i. This is followed by Chatzi Kaddish, hagbah, and gelilah.
Continue with Ashrei, U’va Letzion, and Musaf.
Musaf
Say the Musaf for Shalosh Regalim, inserting the additions for Sukkos where indicated. Where appropriate, replace יום טוב with יום. Insert the paragraphs Uvayom Hashlishi... Uvayom harevi’i.
Don’t forget to say the Shesh Zechiros after davening.
Chol Hamoed meals
On each day of Chol Hamoed, males over bar mitzvah drink a revi’is of wine to fulfill the mitzvah of simchas Yom Tov.
When bentching, insert Yaaleh Viyavo and replace מגדיל with מגדול. Additionally, say the harachaman for Sukkos. (See below, “Hosafos,” for the laws that apply if you forgot to say Yaaleh Viyavo.)
Monday
Third day of Chol Hamoed Sukkos, 19 Tishrei
Today’s ushpizin are Aharon Hakohen and the Rebbe the Tzemach Tzedek.
For Hoshanos, say the paragraph Adam u’veheimah.
The aliyos in today’s kriah are as follows: for Kohen we read Uvayom harevi’i; for Levi we read Uvayom hachamishi; for the third aliyah we read Uvayom hashishi; and for the fourth aliyah we read Uvayom harevi’i and Uvayom hachamishi.
In Musaf, insert the paragraphs Uvayom harevi’i... Uvayom hachamishi.
