1. First Aliyah
   ארץ The first verse states that HaShem created the heavens and the earth. But not until two days later is the earth given its name
2. Second Aliyah
   The letter samech makes its first appearance in 2,11. Only letter that does not occur in the first chapter of Bereshis.
