And this is also the general theme of the exile as is explained in Torah Ohr that it is comparable to a seed planted into the earth that first has to rot and disintegrate (which is why the Possuk states: “sowing with tears”) and only thereafter can it have growth (As the Possuk continues: “we will reap in joy”) with a massive increase as our Rabbis of blessed memory have said: “one measure brings forth many measures.”
