And this reaches a greater spiritual height than the [mere] refinement achieved through revealing light. (It is self-evident that even though this refinement, which occurs by means of revealing new light, itself reaches higher than the original level of the revealed light without refinement).

This concept is similar to another one which is referred to specifically as the left nostril which reaches the level of ‘life-of-life’ as opposed to the right nostril which only reaches the level of ‘life’.

This is again akin to what we said earlier that it was specifically through Pharaoh that the B’nei Yisroel achieved a greater exalted elevation.
