Understandably, a clear indication that something is bashert is when an offer comes our way without our having done anything toward that end. Such an offer can often be a clear sign that this parnassah is bashert for a person. If he sees that this offer is completely not for him, he should try to find something else. But if the offer keeps coming up, again and again, he should definitely give it further thought—because every offer that comes our way has some shaychus to us.
Just as with a shidduch, we don’t need to accept it simply because it was suggested... it’s not a sure sign that this is the one. But it does mean that it must be seriously considered. If it’s very obviously not for you, then you can move on. Sometimes, a shidduch idea will keep coming up, over and over, from many areas... this is generally a sign that something deeper is going on, and it’s worthwhile to look deeper into it. If it keeps coming up, it’s usually a sign that it has a shaychus to you. It doesn’t mean that you must take it. But from Above, it is being sent to you so that you should at least consider it—because it has some connection to you.
