The important thing to remember regarding parnassah is that a person shouldn’t rush to run places for his parnassah; he must only look to ascertain what his mission is and where he must carry it out.
The more a person understands that hishtadlus isn’t what brings a she- fah of parnassah... hishtadlus is one thing and parnassah is another thing... hishtadlus entails only listening to the will of Hashem, Who commanded us to guard the earth and work it... the more he will understand that there are occasions when he must travel distances for that mission. It is only because there’s something that must be accomplished—not because of parnassah, because parnassah can come to him wherever it is. He is only traveling to a distant place because he has a mission from Hashem to accomplish there.
