For when one is fully engaged intellectualising a concept with one’s brain one experiences the light of the idea both in the depths of Chochmah, the breadths of Binah and also in the depths of Daas, it is not possible to express ‘Middohs’ here. It is specifically when all that remains is the ‘Bechein’ - the implication and the conclusion, only then is one able to experience one’s Middohs.
However, even the ‘Bechein’ of intellect itself still cannot transform itself from Intellect to Emotion without first going through yet another step, an intermediary one which is referred to as the constraints of the narrowness of the neck, and this constraint causes a disruption and a reduction in the conclusion of the concept to such an extent that it does cause transformations from “something which is ‘Seichel’” into “something which is ’Middohs’”. And all this is also to be observed in the physical appearance of the neck; even though it has its own length, breadth and depth it is still narrow in comparison to the head.
