He also points out in the Maamor that the Possuk says לֵיל שִמֻּרִים הוּא לַה׳ - that it is a night of guarding for HAVAYE. What is the significance of this guarding and what is its association with the Divine name HAVAYE? Furthermore, why does the Torah say: הוּא הַלַיְּלָה הַזֶה לַה׳ שִמֻּרִים “This night is HaShem’s, guarding etc”; why the repetition of the word שִמֻּרִים?
To understand all this, we first need to clarify the concept of how the Exodus from Mitzrayim relates to man’s daily spiritual Avodah; both with his body and with soul. Man is commanded to remember the Exodus from Mitzrayim every day, as the Possuk states: לְּמַעַן תִּזְּכ ר אֶת יוֹם צֵאתְּךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְּרַיִם כ ל יְּמֵי חַיֶּיךָ “So that you shall remember the day when you went out of the land of Mitzrayim all the days of your life”, this means that recalling the Exodus from Mitzrayim, which is the Avodah of going out of Mitzrayim, is an Avodah required every day.
