In the Maamor he explains, that the concept of the Exodus from Mitzrayim in man’s Avodah is not just about coming out of the boundaries of the ‘other side’. Just as there are boundaries and limitations ‘below’ in the physical world, the same is true ‘above’ spiritually; and even within holiness too, and within this state (of holy restrictions) there also needs to be an Exodus from Mitzrayim.
Seemingly this concept needs further clarification. Since we are referring to holiness, how can there be restrictions of Mitzrayim (in holiness) that we need to go out of?
This can be understood through the prism of yet another concept: the expression and revelation of one’s Middohs are from his intellectual stimulation, for this is the notion of the dictum עַל הַלֶב לִיט שַ מ חַ “The mind rules over the heart” viz that it is the mind which influences the heart.
