A person has to hold of himself. Mitzrayim was known for Ga'ava (Chazal). There is a Ma'ala to holding of yourself, because then you will produce more; THEN your Ga'ava is used for good. Chazal say that it’s a Mitzva to hold “big” of yourself, and each person is M'chuyav to say: בִשְבִילִי נִבְרָא הָעוֹלָם (Sanhedrin 37a)—the entire universe was created just for me. What were Egyptian silks doing in the Kodesh HaKodoshim? The Cohen Gadol wore it because having a Ga'ava side to you is so important. Kavod is so important! People don’t realize that recognizing your own greatness is the Kodesh HaKodoshim of their lives!
