This week’s Torah portion tells about the first Shlichus – mission – in the Torah: Avraham sent his servant Eliezer on a mission to get a wife for Avraham’s son, Yitzchak. This mission brought about the continuation of the Jewish People. The marriage of Yitzchak and Rivkah is the union of Ma”h and Ba”n, the level of G-dliness that transcends the world and the level of G-dliness that is connected to the physical world. This is the whole purpose of Creation: uniting the soul and body, spirituality and physicality – making the world into a home for G-ds’ Essence.
We all have a mission; we were created only to serve our Creator. We are all Shluchim (emissaries) of G-d and Shluchim of the Rebbe King Moshiach Shlita to spread Torah, Judaism and the wellsprings of Chassidus outwards, and to bring the true and complete Redemption.
From time to time there have been different details more emphasized within the general mission. Now, since we have actually completed everything that needed to be done, the only Shlichus left is accepting Moshiach! Everything that we do in our Shlichus of spreading Judaism and Chassidus must be permeated with the one point of leading to accepting Moshiach. Everyone, without exception, must prepare oneself, family, friends, city and everyone they can reach to accept Moshiach!
