Shabbos Souls and Second Chances

There was a great rav in Chaifa who was involved with at-risk teenagers. He tragically lost his three-year-old daughter. To give chizuk to the rav, the boys decided they would keep Shabbos that week. When the boys left, someone present approached the rav and asked, “Just one Shabbos? What difference does that make? Either they are religious or not? It’s not a game.”

The rav responded, “Do you know what I would give to have my daughter back for just one more Shabbos? One single Shabbos... Do you know what Hashem would give to have just one child with Him for even a moment?”
