No wonder Rus and Orpah were so attracted to Naomi! And this is the way each and every one of us has to conduct our Avodas Hashem; i.e., make it Geshmak and sweet! If two Moavi princesses lost their Koach as a result of crying over losing the sweetness of “Naomi”, we realize how indescribably Geshmak Yiddishkeit should be ideally. And this is the main description of Rus and Dovid. (R' Gershon Liebman Zatzal was Mamash like this).
Yerushalayim was Dovid’s city, and it’s called משוש כל הארץ the joy of the whole world. Imagine the unreal נעימות sweetness of the main part of Yerushalayim; i.e., the Bais Hamikdash. Now we know how we should cry on Tisha B’av! Losing Naomi is like experiencing Churban Bais Hamikdash. Every Yid should strive for: זה קלי ואנוהו I will make Hashem beautiful, by becoming a true: נעים sweet person.
Learning A Lot of Mussar to Conquer Your Pecklach Makes You a Sweet Singer of Israel Like Dovid
R’ Wainkrantz Zatzal told me that a person with lots of Emuna and Bitachon becomes Geshmak. Naomi, Rus, and Dovid, the נעים זמירות ישראל sweet singer of Israel were the people who lived Yerushalayim and created Yerushalayim. We have to try to join them and learn loads of Shaar HaBitachon, etc., and bring sweetness and kindness to the world and to ourselves. Don’t rob the world of a potential נעים זמירות ישראל sweet singer of Israel when your main focus is your pecklach without learning lots of Mussar to conquer them.
