Post-Tisha B’Av and Weekday Guidelines

Chabad.org Luach | December 10, 2025

SUNDAY NIGHT

After Maariv, wash your hands three times (as in the morning), but without a berachah.

If the moon is visible, recite Kiddush Levanah. Wash your hands and face and don leather shoes beforehand (if possible).

Recite havdalah, without a candle and besamim.

It is proper to make a siyum on motzoei Tisha B’Av (in addition to making one during the day).

The restrictions of the Three Weeks and Nine days apply until tomorrow at chatzos, (other than drinking the wine of havdalah).

MONDAY

The restrictions of the Three Weeks and Nine Days no longer apply after chatzos of today.

The Rebbe encouraged arranging siyumim during the days following Tisha B’Av as well, until Chamishah Asar B’Av.

WEDNESDAY

When saying today’s Chitas, read the pesukim of the Aseres Hadibros following the regular tune (known as ta’am tachton).

THURSDAY

If you did not recite Kiddush Levanah on motzoei Tisha B’Av, the last night to do so is Thursday night, (the entire night.)

FRIDAY

When saying shnayim mikra of Parshas Va’eschanan, read the pesukim of the Aseres Hadibros with the regular tune (known as ta’am tachton).
