5710-1950, on Erev Rosh Hashanah, for the first time after the passing of the Previous Rebbe, the Rebbe officially accepted panim — petitions for blessing. Despite heavy rainfall, he then stood at the resting place of the Previous Rebbe for three hours to read the notes and pray.
