5714-1954, the Rebbe wrote to Rabbi Dov Berish Weidenfeld — better known as the Tshebiner Rav — who was suffering from a malignant tumor: “Today I was informed that you are not in proper health. By Divine Providence, the message arrived before I went to the resting place of my father-in-law, the [Previous] Rebbe. I mentioned you there in prayer for a speedy recovery... I am certain that you will be able to inform me of good news regarding the improvement of your condition.” The Tshebiner Rav went on to live for another twelve years.
