Two Bochurim once traveled to Radin to learn in the Yeshiva of the Chofetz Chaim ZY”A before the month of Elul. They were fahered (tested) by the Chofetz Chaim’s son-in-law, but only one was found to be worthy to be accepted in the Yeshiva. As they came as a pair, they said they would both not stay and find a different Yeshiva where they would both be accepted. When the Chofetz Chaim learnt of this he requested his son-in-law to accept them both, as one was an einikel (descendent) of Rav Levi Yitzchok of Barditchev ZY”A, the Saniguriyon shel Yisroel – The defender of Klall Yisroel. And the Chofetz Chaim wanted to Daven together with them on Rosh Hashonoh and Yom Kippur, they should be in his Yeshiva during the Yimei HoRachamim VihaSlichos (days of mercy and forgiveness). From here we see the greatness of the Zechus Avos of the Kedushas Levi ZY”A
