Never Forget Erase the Memory of Amalek

The Parsha Post | December 31, 2025

The public is urged not to forget the horrific actions of Amalek, who attacked the Jewish people on their way out of Egypt. Even as Moshe teaches kindness toward all - including animals (see ad) - Amalek is an exception. The Jewish people must never forget to wage battle against them until all memory of them is erased and eradicated.

“After the death of Haman and his sons, we are not aware of any living Amalekites,” noted TNS genealogy expert, Yechiel Yichustracker, “but we each have an internal Amelek, the voice of doubt and cynicism toward Torah, which we must completely get rid of.”

“There’s no doubt about it,” added Professor Filbert Feinstein, TNS mathematics commentator. “The word Amalek (עמלק) has the same number value as Safek (ספק), which means “doubt.”
