Desire Causes Separation

The Possuk in Mishlei (18:1) says “Litavoh yivakesh nifrod – Desire causes separation”. One who seeks mundane lust will never be satisfied and never fulfill or accomplish, as his priorities are earthly, which has boundaries instead of Heavenly which is endless. That is the difference between Ruchniyus and Gashmius (spiritual and mundane). The Avodoh of a person is to make mundane matters spiritual as it says in Tehillim (115:16) “HaShomayim Shomayim LaHashem – The Heaven is to Hashem, Vihoretz – the earth, Nossan livnei odom was given to the people” – to make Himilldig – Heavenly. So have Tzaddikim explained and taught us.
