Rav Avrohom Elimelech of Karlin ZY”A HY”D, quotes the Tzadik, the Maggid of Trisk ZY”A, that Chanukah is Kabolas HaTorah Shebal Peh (Acceptance of the Oral Torah). As The Yom Tov of Shavuous is the Zeman (time) of Kabbolas Torah Shebiksav (Written Torah), and Chanukoh is the Zeman of Torah Shebal Peh.
