Based on the Dvar Malchus of Beis Nisan 5748
The Rebbe becomes much stronger than it ever was. Let's see what really happens.
We give to the king
The Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach Shlita says:
“We see two opposite extremes in the way we relate to a king. On the one hand, we were always taught to relate to the king as a person who's higher that what we could ever imagine. He's not a regular person, nor is he like a tzadik or the biggest chochom we might know. We're talking about a person who's so much higher than we are, as the Razal said regarding the posuk, “Som tasim alecha melech”, - we should be afraid of the king.
On the other hand, the king is so close to us. He's similar to a person's heart, something that gives us life, like Rashi explains, “...A king is the heart of the whole Jewish nation...”
Furthermore, the king is so close to us, to the extent that we are able to give him something, as the posuk teaches us, “The king cannot be a king unless he has subjects to rule over.” When the nation loves and wants the king to rule over them, only then can he rule, because the king's existence depends on his nation!”
This sicha was said in 5748 and isn't part of our regular weekly learning for the years 5748-5749. But this sicha is so important, because it explains to us a basic rule how to be mikushar to the Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach Shlita. This sicha was said on “Beis Nissan”, the day that the previous Rebbe became Rebbe. It deals with the connection between the Rebbe and the Jewish nation.
A tremendous change!
It's common knowledge that a person's birthday is an important date. We practice special customs on this day and make decisions to increase in our Torah study and performance of mitzvos over the course of the year. The same thing is true with a wedding day or other special occasions. We add new things in our service to Hashem on these days as well.
A Nosi also has special days, such as his birthday, a time when he adds in his personal service to Hashem. His leadership over the Jewish nation also changes. “Beis Nisan” is also a day when our connection with the Rebbe becomes much stronger.
The Rebbe explains at the beginning of the sicha that on this day there is a tremendous change in the Rebbe's leadership over us. Something special and amazing happens then. Starting from “Beis Nisan” 5680, our connection with the Rebbe becomes much stronger than it ever was. Let's see what really happens.
He is always connected with the Melech Hamoshiach through this spark
Furthermore, the Melech Hamoshiach is connected with each and every Jew. We give him a lot when we proclaim “Yechi Hamelech”.
From the above we can conclude that every Jew, even the simplest, even a child, who doesn't understand so much, that proclaims “Yechi Hamelech” becomes connected with to the King Moshiach and at the same time gives him the ability to rule over was in addition to life, and most important, the ability to redeem the Jewish nation.”
The Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach Shlita says:
“Much emphasis is placed on the connection between the Melech Hamoshiach and each and every Jew. Therefore, each and every one of us has the ability to make “Yechi Hamelech” happen.”
Tachlis
The main thing is to do, so let's finish up our acts of loving kindness and our service to Hashem, including our request and demand of “Ad mosai” and our proclaiming of “Yechi Melech Dovid Malka Mishicha” as quickly as possible by Yechi Hamelech
For that reason when Shlomo Hamelech became king, the entire nation stood and proclaimed “Long live the king”!
When the Jewish nation made its proclamation, it accepted upon itself the king's rule, and by doing so they gave him the ability to rule.
Their proclamation brought about another wondrous thing. “Yechi Hamelech” is a blessing for the king's life and success. The proclamation gives him life!
This proclamation has so much more meaning to it when we refer it to the Melech Hamoshiach. When we proclaim “Yechi Hamelech” we are saying that the time has come for the Melech Hamoshiach to reveal himself and to redeem the Jewish nation. The same thing would apply when we scream out “Ad mosai”! We in essence are asking Hashem that He should already crown the King Moshiach.
Anyone can
The Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach emphasizes:
“...When we talk about the Melech Hamoshiach”, the Jew's connection with him is so much stronger. Every Jew has within his soul the “yechida” which is referred to as the “spark of Moshiach”. This deepest level of the soul is always with the Jew regardless of the situation he may find himself in or how he acts.
He is always connected with the Melech Hamoshiach through this spark.
