Born in Yerushalayim תרפ"ה to Rav Yosef Eisenbach who was a Sofer Stam. He studied in Shomrei HaChomos and was among the first talmidim in the Slonimer yeshivah Bais Avrohom under Rav Sholom Noach the Nesivos Sholom. He studied beChavrusa with Rav Mordechai Chaim Slonim and together they completed the entire Mishnah Torah of the Rambam. At age eighteen he married the daughter of Rav Yeshaya Asher Zelig Margolis.
As a yungerman he studied in Pressburg Yeshivah under Rav Akiva Sofer the Da'as Sofer and in Toras Emes, the Chabad Yeshiva under Rav Moshe Leib Shapira. He studied Kabbalah under Rav Shaul haKohen Dweck, and worked as a Sofer Stam so he would not earn a living from his Torah studies.
In תשל"ג Rav Raphael Dovid and Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach both requested that he assume the position of the Yeshivas Shaar haShomayim for the study of Kabbalah. Rav Chaim Yehudah Leib, their father and founder had passed away and the yeshivah was in dire straits and liable to close its doors. Hesitantly he agreed, the yeshivah flourished under his leadership. He gave shiurim, often for many hours at a stretch, and davened from the Siddur with kavanos haRashash. He passed away on 4 Elul תשס"ח and was laid to rest on Har haZeisim.
Some of his well known disciples and talmidim include: Rav Daniel Firsch author of Masok miDevash on the Zohar, Rav Yaakov Moshe Hillel, Rosh Yeshivas Ahavas Sholom, and Rav Gamliel haKohen Rabinovitch.
