The Future Ascent of the Divine Name Ban

And thereafter, the Divine name ‘Ban’ will ascend yet higher to the [level of the] Divine name ‘Ab’ which is a state of מַשְכִיל לְאֵּיתָּׁן הָּׁאֶזְרָּׁחִי “A Maskil of Eison the Ezrochi” with all the Pirushim on Eison the Ezrochi as is explained in a Maamor by the Frierdiker Rebbe (in the name of the Alter Rebbe). Until it ascends to become the crown of Hashem’s very essence and very existence.

The Possuk in Mishlei (12:4) אֵּשֶת חַיִל עֲטֶרֶת בַעְלָּׁהּ וּכְרָּׁקָּׁב בְעַצְמוֹתָּׁיו מְבִישָּׁה “A virtuous woman is the crown of her husband, but an embarrassing one is like rot in his bones”. Like a crown sits on top of the head, so too in the future with the coming of Moshiach, the Divine name ‘Ban’ will ascend to sit higher than her husband the Divine name ‘Mah’ as the Prophet Yirmiyahu prophesises (31:21) that in the future נְקֵבָה תְסוֹבֵב גָבֶר “The female will court the male”.

The current order of these Divine names is: ‘Ab’ being the highest spiritually then ‘Sag’ then ‘Mah’ and then ‘Ban’. Although the numerical value of the Divine name ‘Ban’ is Fifty-Two which is a greater number that the numerical value of the Divine name ‘Mah’ which is Forty-Five, nevertheless the Divine name ‘Mah’ is currently spiritually higher than the Divine name ‘Ban’. But in the future that will change. A good mnemonic to remember this is that the word אָּׁדָּׁם which means human, has the numerical value of Forty-Five whereas the word בְהֵּמָּׁה which means animal has the numerical value of Fifty-Two.

Mah: The Husband Symbolises the Divine Name ‘Mah’

Whereas right now the Divine name ‘Ban’ which is [currently] representative of the woman, receives from the husband the Divine name ‘Mah’, this will change around in the future with the coming of Moshiach that the wife will become the crown and the source of sustenance for her husband. [When she represents the level of the Divine name ‘Sag’].

With the numerical value of Seventy-Two as mentioned earlier.

A Maskil of Eison the Ezrochi

Rashi says: He was one of the five musician brothers. But our Sages (B.B. 15a) explained it as referring to our father Avrohom, based on (Yishaya. 41:2): “Who aroused from the East (ממזרח)”. Talking about Avrohom as Rashi there says: Who aroused from the East: one whom righteousness accompanied? Who aroused Avrohom to bring him from Aram which is in the East and the righteousness that he would perform that was opposite his feet wherever he went.

With regards to the connection between the Divine name ‘Ab’ and ‘Eison’ which is an inner dimension of ‘Chochmah’. The future ascent of the Divine name ‘Ban’ to the Divine name ‘Ab’ will also occur in the deep inner dimension of ‘Eison’. It is because of this future ascent that the Divine name ‘Ban’ (the woman) will be elevated up to become the crown of her husband who at the moment is higher than her and she receives from him.
