The Promise of Redemption and the Role of Torah

The above-mentioned Gevuros are a thing of the past. But now after all the troubles that there have been particularly in recent generations and most particularly in the previous generation the Possuk states: לֹא־צָּׁרָּׁה תָּׁקוּם פַעֲמַיִם “The trouble will not rise twice”, and will most definitely, certainly not occur more than twice.

Previous Generation

This must refer to the Holocaust and Russian oppression of the last generation in which Yidden across the board demonstrated Mesiras Nefesh beyond imagination.

The Possuk States

No adversary opposes Him twice! But here the words of the Possuk stand to testify that there will not be another holocaust.

The Trouble Will Not Rise Twice

Rashi says: He will not repeat this to you again.

Not Occur More Than Twice

When the Torah says it will not happen twice this does not allude to a possibility that it might happen three times or more but not twice, the meaning of this Possuk is that it won’t even happen twice and most certainly not more than twice.

It Is Certain

(This sounds like a promise and an assurance from the Rebbe).

From Now On

And forever more.

There Will Be

As the Possuk in Tehilim states: (23:6) אַךְ טוֹב וָּׁחֶסֶד יִרְדְפוּנִי כָּׁל יְמֵּי חַיָּׁי וְשַבְתִי בְבֵּית ה׳ לְאֹרֶךְ יָּׁמִים “May only goodness and kindness pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of HaShem for length of days.”

True Core of This

Of the true goodness for B’nei Yisroel.

There Will Be

As the Possuk in Tehilim states: (73:1) מִזְמוֹר לְאָּׁסָּׁף אַךְ טוֹב לְיִשְרָּׁאֵּל אֱלֹקִים לְבָּׁרֵּי לֵּבָּׁב “A song of Asaph. Truly G-d is good to Yisroel, to the pure of heart.”

The Mishneh

In Mishnayos Pirkei Ovos (6:3) it states: וְאֵּין טוֹב אֶלָּׁא תוֹרָּׁה, שֶנֶאֱמַר (משלי ד) כִי לֶקַח טוֹב נָּׁתַתִי לָּׁכֶם תוֹרָּׁתִי אַל תַעֲזֹבוּ: “There is no good except Torah as it is said (Mishlei 4:2) "I give you a good doctrine, do not forsake my Torah".

As the Prophet Promises

Regarding the revelation of Torah in the future.

Possuk States

Yeshayohu (51:4) הַקְשִיבוּ אֵּלַי עַמִי וּלְאוּמִי אֵּלַי הַאֲזִינוּ כִי תוֹרָּׁה מֵּאִתִי תֵּצֵּא וּמִשְפָּׁטִי לְאוֹר עַמִים אַרְגִיעַ “Hearken to Me, My people, and My nation, bend your ears to Me, when Torah shall emanate from Me, and My judgment [shall be] for the light of the peoples, I will give [them] rest.” [The Medrash Rabbah (Vayikroh 13:3) adds the word חַד ָשׂ ָה. As well as the Yalkut (Remez 535)].

New Torah

The Baal Shem Tov explains that the secrets of the Torah which are currently shrouded in stories of people like Lovon and Bilaam will in the future be explained how everything comes from HaShem’s inner dimension. The Kedushas Levi says: In the future the hidden words of the Torah will become revealed.

Particularly

The novelty in the revelation in Torah in the future will particularly come as a result of the efforts exerted in the realm of disseminating the wellsprings of Chassidus.
