Mattir Assurim Freedom to Move

Hashem has bestowed a great gift upon us that we rarely think about: the ability to move our limbs.

To produce a smile, forty muscles must coordinate in unison. To raise our hands, signals from the brain cause certain muscles to contract, lifting them.

These processes are so complex. Without them, we would literally be assurim - tied up.
