One should never think that since he feels that his tefillos were not said with sufficient devotion, they are unworthy of ascending to Hashem. This is incorrect, as Hashem desires the tefillos of every Jew. This can be clearly seen from the following:
The pasuk states that after the sin of the eigal, Moshe Rabenu told Hashem that if He wipes out the nation, He should “erase my name from Your book. (Shemos 32:32)” Rashi explains that he didn’t want it to be said that he was unworthy of asking for mercy for them.
The Chozen of Lublin zy”a asks: Moshe Rabenu was a tremendously humble person. Why did he care what people would say about him?
He explains that Moshe’s concern was that people would think that if his tefillos went unanswered, they certainly couldn’t expect their prayers to be heard. Therefore, he told Hashem: If you accept my tefillah, even though I am unworthy, everyone will be encouraged to daven as well. Therefore, I ask You to accept it, despite the fact that I am not worthy.
