As some comments written by the Rebbe in the margin regarding the virtue of Shabbos over the Matnas Chinom. In this way all the decrees can become null and void including the three oaths, ...and may the end not be pushed off!

All the Decrees

All the undesirable decrees.

Three Oaths

That Hashem made the B’nei Yisroel swear. There are three oaths in three verses (Shir Hashirim 2.7). הִשְבַעְתִי אֶתְכֶם בְנוֹת יְרוּשָלִַם בִצְבָאוֹת אוֹ בְאַיְלוֹת הַשָדֶה אִם־תָעִירוּ וְאִם־תְעוֹרְ רוּ אֶת־הָאַהֲבָה עַד שֶתֶחְפָץ׃ “I adjure you, O daughters of Yerushalayim, by the gazelles or by the hinds of the field, that you neither awaken nor arouse the love while it is desirous. (Shir Hashirim 3.5) an exact repetition of the above verse and (Shir Hashirim 8.4) מַה־ יְרוּשָלִַםהִשְבַעְתִי אֶתְכֶם בְנוֹת תָעִירוּ וּמַה־תְעֹרְ רוּ אֶת־הָאַהֲבָה עַד פָץשֶתֶחְ “I adjure you, O daughters of Yerushalayim; why should you awaken, and why should you arouse the love until it is desirous?" the Talmud (Kesubos 111a) Rabbi Yosei, son of Rabbi Chanina said: Why are these three oaths needed? One, so that the Jews should not ascend to Eretz Yisroel as a wall, but little by little. And another one, Hakodosh Boruch Hu, adjured the B’nei Yisroel that they should not rebel against the rule of the nations of the world. And the last one is that Hakodosh Boruch Hu, adjured the nations of the world that they should not subjugate the Jews excessively.

Pushed Off

The above Talmud (Kesubos 111a) continues: ... Rabbi Levi said: These six oaths, i.e. the aforementioned three verses containing oaths, each of which contains the phrase “That you not awaken or stir up,” why are they necessary? Three are those that we said and explained above. The other three oaths are as follows: That those who know should not reveal the end of days; and that they should not distance the end of days; and that they should not reveal the secret of the Jews to the nations. May all the above oaths be annulled because a request in a manner of ‘Matnas Chinom’ annuls all decrees.

In simple words fast in the way that we understand it on this earth. In contrast to that which it says (Tehilim 90:4) כִי אֶלֶף שָנִים בְעֵינֶיךָ כְיוֹם א֖תְמוֹל כִי יַעֲבֹר וְאַשְמוּרָה בַלָיְלָה “For a thousand years are in Your eyes like yesterday, which passed, and a watch in the night” and Rashi writes: A thousand years of man are like one day of the Holy One, blessed be He, and part of the night with it; for one day of Hakodosh Boruch Hu, and a little of the night of Hakodosh Boruch Hu, are a thousand years, for the text does not say that the day of Hakodosh Boruch Hu, is like a thousand years, but that when a little of the night elapses with it, then His day is complete, and it is a thousand years.
