People who believe in Hashem and are always searching for His Hand in their affairs will often find great revelations from Hashem in the way that He orchestrates matters—innovations and understandings that previously seemed unfathomable. These signs may often be small, but the Hand of Hashem is clearly evident therein.
We hear stories all the time regarding Yidden who experience small miracles in which the Hand of Hashem is so clearly at work, and this is because they are searching for His goodness. If a person pays attention, there is so much goodness to recognize—and the stories will accumulate.
A person who habituates himself to constantly reflect on Hashem’s goodness will soon accumulate many stories and anecdotes of Hashem’s kindness. He will constantly live with the feeling that the Ribbono shel Olam is doing the greatest miracles for him. And when a challenge comes his way, it is easy for him to accept it with love and without complaint.
This the eitzah of the Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh: If a person will fulfill the commandment of “placing these words upon his heart”—it is the surest pathway to fulfilling this fundamental and constant mitzvah of ahavas Hashem in every situation.
