Tefillah Creates Shefa

The Ramchal writes (Sefer Derech Hashem, Chelek 4, Perek 5): “The concept of tefillah is that the way that Hashem established the world with supreme knowledge is that in order for the creations to receive a shefa of goodness from Him, we must ask for it from Him. The greater the arousal one creates with his tefillos, the greater the shefa will be. But if one does not create this arousal, he will not receive anything. Hashem wants to provide His creations with goodness at all times. Therefore, He made this avodah (of tefillah) for us to do every day and through it He sends us an abundance of success and blessing.”
