Remember to keep saying what Yosef said to the wife of Potiphar: אֵ ינֶנוּ גָּדוֹל בַ בַ יִּת הַ זֶ ה מִּ מֶ נִּ י וישב לט ט “There is nobody greater than me”, and watch it come true. Keep focusing on your own Maalos, instead of living a frustrating life of always admiring others, albeit Gedolim and Tzadikim. Remember what Hashem gave you, and be a true Sameach B'chelko (it’s hard work!)
R’ Yaakov Galinsky Zatzal tells a story that during WWII he was in a prison camp, and with him was a prisoner who was a former general. This prisoner would get up every night in middle of the night, and put on his old uniform, exclaiming: “I’m still a great general!” Keep saying: “I’m fearless, I’m confident” (even though inside you’re plenty worried). הַ חַ לָּ שׁ י ֹאמַ ר גִּ בוֹר אָּ נִּ י יואל ד י The weakling shall say: I am a Gibbor!
Not only isn’t the true Baal Bitachon not intimidated by the many voices (internal and/or external) that keep telling him he failed (“I’m worthless”, “I sinned too much”), but he laughs at them as if they are worthless, and he’s a born winner who is “hopelessly” successful. Like the Zviller Rebbe Zatzal told me: “All the great ones have the most difficulties, since the Yetzer Hara knows they are destined for greatness”.
The true Baal Bitachon has a “Bittul” (belittling) towards all those negatives in his life. He isn’t even: גוֹסרֵ (notice) them, and they don’t even count. “I know that I’m Gevaldig, no matter what!” “Aderaba” dominates my mind at all times. “I’m a fighter” (צִּ בְ אוֹת )'ה “I don’t even understand the concept of losing! “It’s all just a test, to see if I’ll fall for it (heard from R' Ozer Schwartz Zatzal). I’m always calm and cool (keep lying!)
