Even in jail, Yosef has the presence of mind to notice the pain on the faces of the Sar HaMashkim and Sar HaOfim, since a Baal Bitachon is always in a high-mode mentality. He is always B'simcha, since he learns lots of Sifrei Bitachon and is always involved in the beauty of constant Hashgacha Pratis.
This is similar to Leah Imeinu’s persistence to keep davening, even after Yaakov rejected her and said I want Davka: רָּ חֵ ל בִּ תְ ךָ הַ קְ טַ נָּהכט יח Rochel, the younger daughter, and not Leah. Notice how Sefer Breishis ends off with the passing of Yosef HaTzaddik, and the Torah is very involved in him especially; and Sefer Sh’mos starts with mentioning him all over again.
A loud and clear message for all of us, to study Yosef’s greatness; i.e., his Gadlus HaAdam and unwavering Bitachon, and his goodness to the entire world. The Alter of Novardok Zatzal once heard a fiery Shmuess in Kelm about Yosef HaTzaddik, and he got up and exclaimed: “Let’s all try to become a Yosef!”
