The Greatness of the Akeida and Avrohom’s Test

The Sefas Emes ZY”A expounds on the greatness of The Akeida. Hashem said "קח נא את בנך את יחידך " וכו' “Please take your son, your only one”, etc. (22:2), As to say that he should forgive on the son Yitzchok that was given to him as a present. As Avrohom was told by Hashem "כי ביצחק יקרא לך זרע" “Since through Yitzchok will offspring be considered yours.” (21:12). To be clear to Avrohom Avienu that there is only one Yitzchok, and only from him will come Klall Yisroel. In contrary to think that there could be another Yitzchok. Therefore, by doing the Akeida, Avrohom Avienu is giving up all of Klall Yisroel to fulfill Hashems’ will. Avrohom Avienu accepted all this with happiness. This is the greatness of the נסיון - test.
