The Kedusha and Joy of Shabbos with Tzaddikim

Ba'er Heitev | December 08, 2025

The Beis Aharon of Karlin ZY”A, was once hosted in a certain town for Shabbos. The Kedusha (holiness) and great Hislahavus (enthusiasm) was boundless. On Friday at sunset when the townspeople greeted the Heilige Shabbos, with the Tefilloh of Kabolas Shabbos which comes to its peak with the recitation of a portion of Zohar HaKodosh of “Kigavnoh”, the Tzibbur said Kigavnoh not once, but repeated it seven times with great concentration, sound and fervor. Only then did they continue with Tefillas Maariv, which was surely also with great zest. How lucky are those who live the taste and life of Torah and Tefilloh. Praiseworthy are the Tzaddikim who have been bestowed on us by Hashem to show us the path in which to serve Him.

Reb Yom Tov Ehrlich Z”L relates on his tape [recording] Raninu Tzadikim, that when the Frankfurter - Yenukoh ZY”A (Grandson of the Beis Aharon) would come to a town for Shabbos, the Simchoh was so great, that the stores would close on Thursday and not open until Monday.

Once two Alter Chasidim, who had been by the Beis Aharon ZY”A, traveled to spend Shabbos with his Great-grandson Rav Avrohom Elimelech of Karlin ZY”A HY”D - Son of the Yenukoh, (Yohrtzeit is this week 14 Cheshvon). As the two Chasidim were at the Rebbe’s Tish they looked at each other, and exclaimed “Azoi vie der (just as by the) Alter Rebbe” - The Beis Aharon ZY”A.

Two elderly Chasidim who were at The Heilige Rav Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev ZY”A, sought a new Rebbe after the passing of the Berditchiver ZY”A, and were not successful in finding themselves a Rebbe with the same compassion and devotion in Avodas Hashem. Once they travelled to Sanz, where The Divrei Chaim ZY”A resided. At the Tish on Friday night they were so overcome with the great Avodoh that the Sanzer Rov ZY”A served Hashem, they felt that they finally reached their destination to a Tzadik whom they lacked since the passing of the Berditchever ZY”A. Full of joy they danced the whole night of Shabbos until Shachris. They davened with great enthusiasm, they ate Seudas Shabbos and further rejoiced on this great occasion. May Hashem grant us to be bonded to Tzaddikim and follow in their ways.
