May they use out the special period of Yokor Mikol yokor to its’ utmost! (If anyone is aware of any mazeltov’s that I am missing please let me know).

In connection with the recent passing of Mrs. Geula Cohen OBM, a former Israeli MK and political activist, who merited both yechidus and extensive correspondence with the Rebbe, I would like to share the following story (although, presumably, I have already shared it at sometime in the past):
Once, Mrs. Geulah Cohen OBM was in Crown Heights, and attended a farbrengen of the Rebbe. From her place in the Woman’s shul, she followed intently to all that the Rebbe said. During that farbrengen, the Rebbe spoke at length, and with great intensity, about the political situation in Eretz Yisroel, and – specifically – about how tragic and damaging any territorial concessions made by Israel ch”v would be. Mrs. Cohen followed the Rebbe’s words with great interest. She identified strongly with the Rebbe’s position, and understood and appreciated the reasoning of the Rebbe’s arguments. It was a farbrengen that resonated with her.
